Indigo Dip Dyed Organic Linen Napkins

Linen napkins are a sophisticated yet practical addition to any zero waste lifestyle. Our midweight organic linen is strong enough to withstand consistent washing and elegant enough to grace your formal table.

Each napkin is uniquely hand-dyed with natural indigo creating a beautiful gradient of blue. After dyeing, the napkins are dipped in organic soy milk made in-house to  help maintain the rich indigo color over time.

Made with GOTS certified organic linen fabric, and organic cotton thread and labels. No harmful chemical whiteners, optical brighteners or industrial fabric softeners. Free of petroleum. Good for you and the Earth.

Each napkin is approximately 18" x 18". 

Unlike industry-standard petroleum-based dyes, these napkins are dyed with organic indigo leaves.

Indigo leaf dye has been safely used for thousands of years (dating back to 2000-3000 B.C.) for its ability to make strong and beautiful blues. In the 1800s, natural indigo was almost completely replaced by synthetic indigo, which is derived from the known toxin aniline (a chemical that has been used to make rocket fuel).

The fabric and sewing thread used in these napkins are GOTS certified, which in additional to its strict environmental standards, also certifies that every company involved in production provides fair wages and safe working conditions.

The napkins were manufactured in-house in Los Angeles where we provide our workers safe working conditions and fair wages. ​

These napkins are made with GOTS certified organic fabric and sewing thread - the highest standard in organic. Every single step of in the creation of this piece, from the growing of the cotton and linen, to final manufacture, is independently verified to be organic.

After manufacture, they are locally dyed with GOTS certified organic indigo leaf dye. Plant dyes do not produce toxic run-off like conventional (and other organic dyes) and plant dyes remove carbon from the air during the plant's growth, helping reverse the cause of global climate change. The plant dyes used are from USDA certified organic plants.

Machine wash on gentle cycle using a mild detergent and without fabric softeners. To keep natural linen looking its best, hang dry or tumble dry on low until damp and then lay flat to dry. Light iron when needed.
