The model in mauve is 5'5" and wearing a size extra small.  The model in orange and olive is 5'5" and wearing a size small. The model in teal is 5'6" and wearing a size small.  The model in the shibori shirt is 5'4" and wearing a size small.

A size small is 26.25" long and 32" at the bust unstretched.

Unlike industry-standard petroleum-based dyes, the mauve shirt is dyed with organic madder root and wood from the Campeche tree, the teal and teal shibori shirts are dyed with organic indigo leaves, myrobalan fruit and fusticwood, the shibori shirt is dyed with organic indigo leaves, the olive shirt is dyed with rhubarb and pomegranate peels and the orange shirt is dyed with organic madder root.

Madder root is one of the oldest natural dyes, known for its ability to make beautiful reds. It has been safely used for thousands of years, since at least ancient Egypt (cloth dyed with it has even been found alongside the possessions of King Tut).

Wood from the Campeche tree (also known as logwood) has been safely used in Europe since the 1500s, and by the Mayans for hundreds of years before that. It is prized for creating longlasting blacks with the addition of iron.

Indigo leaf dye has been safely used for thousands of years (dating back to 2000-3000 B.C.) for its ability to make strong and beautiful blues. In the 1800s, natural indigo was almost completely replaced by synthetic indigo, which is derived from the known toxin aniline (a chemical that has been used to make rocket fuel).

The dried fruits of myrobalan trees used for dyeing are commonly used in ayurvedic and traditional Tibetan medicine. Because myrobalan is very high in antoxidants, it has been used to protect against various age and heart related diseases.

Fusticwood is a common natural dye known for its ability to make strong and vibrant yellows. Fusticwood has been used for hundreds of years, and was one of the main dyes used to dye uniforms during WWI.

Pomegranate peels are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, even more than the juicy pomegranate seeds. The peels are anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and are consistently used in beauty products for maintaining healthy skin.

Rhubarb is high in vitamins A, C, E and K and various minerals that are good for you. Because rhubarb is high in antioxidants (like vitamin A), it has been used in skin care products for anti-aging. Rhubarb is also antimicrobial and has been used to fight skin infections.

The fabric and sewing thread used in this top are GOTS certified, which in additional to its strict environmental standards, also certifies that every company involved in production provides fair wages and safe working conditions.

The top was manufactured in Los Angeles by a small company that likewise provides its workers safe working conditions and fair wages.

This tee is made with GOTS certified organic fabric and sewing thread - the highest standard in organic. Every single step of in the creation of this piece, from the growing of the cotton and linen, to final manufacture, is independently certified to be organic.

After manufacture, the tee was locally dyed with GOTS certified plant dyes. These plant dyes do not produce toxic run-off like conventional (and other organic dyes) and plant dyes remove carbon from the air during the plant's growth, helping reverse the cause of global climate change.

Machine wash on gentle cycle using a mild pH-neutral detergent and without fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low.
