The model in mulberry and red is 5'10" and wearing a size small. The model in lavender is 5'6" and wearing a size small. A small is 30.5" long and 36" at the bust unstretched.

Unlike industry-standard petroleum-based dyes, the mulberry and lavender tunics are dyed with wood from the Campeche tree and the red tunic is dyed with madder roots.

Wood from the Campeche tree (also known as logwood) has been safely used in Europe since the 1500s, and by the Mayans for hundreds of years before that. It is prized for creating longlasting blacks with the addition of iron.

Madder root is one of the oldest natural dyes, known for its ability to make beautiful reds. It has been safely used for thousands of years, since at least ancient Egypt (cloth dyed with it has even been found alongside the possessions of King Tut).

The fabric, sewing thread and plant dyes used in this top are GOTS certified, which in additional to strict environmental standards, also certifies that every company involved in production provides fair wages and safe working conditions.

The top was manufactured in Los Angeles by a small company that likewise provides its workers safe working conditions and fair wages.

Made with GOTS certified organic cotton fabric and dyes - the highest standard in organic. Every Every step - from the growing of the cotton, to making the fabric and dyes, is independently verified to be organic.

Also, plant dyes do not produce toxic run-off like conventional (and other organic dyes) and plant dyes remove carbon from the air during the plant’s growth, helping reverse the cause of global climate change.

Machine wash on gentle cycle using a mild pH-neutral detergent and without fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low.
